A Rockville family practitioner referred Susan, a patient overwhelmed with the responsibilities of an aging parent, to JSSA for help. A JSSA case manager coordinated multiple at-home services (including meals, escorted transportation, and counseling) for Susan's mother, so she could remain comfortably and securely in her own home.  The case manager also connected Susan with a JSSA caregiver support group, and with a JSSA homecare companion.  As a result of the level of expert care her mother received, Susan again contacted her case manager two years later when looking for a specialist to help with her adolescent son's behavioral issues.
