Work Adjustment Training Specialist/Fallsgrove
The primary role of the Work Adjustment Training Specialist is to provide work readiness training through a classroom environment with an established curriculum. As a part of a team of professionals, this position is responsible for providing assistance with resume writing, developing cover letters, interviewing skills and appropriate work ethics to individuals with disabilities. The goal of WAT is to prepare individuals obtain competitive employment. The WAT Specialist also ensures compliance with DDA, DORS and other relevant policies and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for providing comprehensive employment related training, job searches and must be able to identify work related strengths and weaknesses of clients and methods of enhancing strengths and minimizing weaknesses. Monitors clients' progress, and modifies the WAT curriculum as needed based on group or individual intellect and needs. Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Rehabilitation or related field, with one year of training or teaching experience preferred. Ability to work with little to no supervision and maintain a flexible schedule is a must. Must be be able to work with hearing and deaf and hard of hearing and be fluent in ASL.
Jewish Chaplaincy Services - Program Coordinator/Montrose Road
JSSA has an immediate opening for a Program Coordinator within our Jewish Chaplaincy Services program. The ideal candidate will direct program volunteers in providing an array of services to residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities, provide ongoing connection with staff at facilities and provide program support to all aspects of Jewish Chaplaincy Services. Knowledge of synagogues and Jewish community organizations, and familiarity with variety of senior living communities required. Experience recruiting and training volunteers, excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as proven ability to network and work collaboratively essential. Demonstrated computer and analytical skills. MSW or equivalent required.
Clinical Social Worker/Fallsgrove
Part-time licensed clinician position to provide individual, family and group therapy and case management with children, adolescents, and adults who are deaf and hard of hearing. Minimum three years clinical experience, Maryland (LCSW-C) license and strong ASL (American Sign Language) skills required. Some evening hours required.
