Our wide range of counseling, educational and career services, in-home support, hospice and nursing care and social services are provided by our highly skilled and caring staff of mental health and nursing professionals.  JSSA assists more than 15,000 people a year, from the very young to the very old.

 Children and Teens

• Mental health evaluation and treatment for 980 children and teens, and guidance for more than 1,600 parents
• Educational and neuropsychological testing and follow-up services to 174 individuals and their families 
• Social skills therapy groups for more than 225 children and teens 
• Placement of 31 children with families through the help of Adoption Options

 Adults

• Therapy for 1,006 adults and couples
• Supported employment and career counseling services for 396 individuals 
• Direct financial assistance to more than 126 individuals and families in crisis 
• Chaplaincy visits to approximately 7,000 hospital patients and nursing home residents
• Synagogue-based programs in 16 congregations, providing groups and individual consultations to 1,886 participants
• Scholarships and loans for 25 students 

 Seniors

• 1,714 comprehensive geriatric assessments for frail elders
• Hospice care for more than 288 patients and their families 
• 27,547 Kosher Meals on Wheels to frail elders 
• 6,074 volunteer “friendly visits” to elders who live alone; 1,074 holiday and cheer baskets delivered 
• Case management and in-home support services for 137 Holocaust survivors 
• 137,946 hours of service to more than 500 individuals through Premier Homecare

 Individuals with special needs

• Services to more than 350 individuals with disabilities and their families
• Evaluation, treatment and case management for 43 individuals with hearing loss 

Many JSSA services are covered by insurance and managed-care plans. We also accept Medicare and Medicaid.
